Fundraiser Ride

Chateau Velo presents:

The 55 Ride

On Saturday 29th June 2024 we hosted a fundraiser ride for Noah Rees to get him kit to support his bid for the 2028 Paralympics.

We rode 55 miles - individually or as a team - completing over 770 miles in total.

Thank you to everyone who supported us - we have raised £3,681.51!

You can still donate directly to Noah on his gofundme which is here.

We couldn't have done this without all of your support - so thank you so so much!

Noah's story

In 2019 Noah fell 10m on Brighton Seafront from the upper promenade which left him in a critical state - he broke his spine, skull, had broken ribs (which punctured both of his lungs), numerous other internal injuries and a split Carotid Artery that has left him with an ongoing Brain injury. Read more on his story here

After years of work and recovery, and a truly inspiring dedication to doing things everyone said he would never do again, he is now training for the Paralympic Games 2028.

There is precious little funding so the goal for this fundraiser ride is to raise some money to help with the equipment and/or travel costs leading up to the games.

You can find out more about Noah and his training on his instagram here.

Why 55 miles?

55 miles is the London to Brighton bike ride distance that Noah had hoped to complete, but to date he has been unable to get the required bike setup for him to participate.
